Leighton Meester Lil Wayne “Make It Rain” Song

Leighton Meester collaborated with “Lollipop” star Lil Wayne for a track on her forthcoming debut album.

The Gossip Girl actress teamed up with the platinum-selling, prison-bound Dwayne Carter on a track called “Make It Rain” — which ironically shares its name with the strip club anthem Weezy recorded with rapper Fat Joe in 2006.

“I sent him a couple of my songs,” Leighton told MTV of how her partnership with the Young Money boss developed. “He’s been diggin’ on them for a while. Then he heard ['Make It Rain'], and he was like, ‘All right, I’m gonna kill it’. [He's] really optimistic, and super supportive of me, which I’ve really, really appreciated so much.”

Leighton was amazed at how prolific Wayne was during their recording sessions: “It was like, literally, 4 o’clock in the morning. He was so sick – he didn’t even write anything down. He just, like, vibed to the music and dances. I don’t even know how he does it; he’s amazing.”

Well, isn’t this disturbing? Ireland Baldwin, the only ~~rude little pig~~ daughter of Alec Baldwin and his actress ex-wife Kim Basinger, reportedly celebrated her 14th birthday this month with a cake crafted in the image of dred-locked, prison-bound rapper Lil Wayne.

I would gotten a replica of 50 Cent’s torso, but that’s just me……

Lil Wayne Pleads Guilty To Gun Charge; One Year Jail Sentence Expected

Lil Wayne is about to join T.I. in the Big House. The Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to attempted weapon possession in New York City on Thursday, and expects to receive a one-year jail sentence. The charges stem from a gun NYPD officials say was found on his tour bus in Manhattan in 2007.

Wayne previously had pleaded not guilty to illegal gun possession charges that carried at least 3½ years in prison upon conviction. The news comes as the “Lollipop” hitmaker prepares to welcome a son with R&B star Nivea — his third child born in the past year!

Wayne, 27, is also scheduled for trial in Arizona on felony drug possession and weapons charges. He has pleaded not guilty in that case. He remains free on bail while awaiting his February sentencing. The somber star did not speak as he left court.

Delays Plague Summer Album Releases

Some of the most eagerly-awaited albums of the summer have been delayed, including Mariah Carey’s Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Last Train to Paris, and Lil Wayne’s debut rock and roll album, Rebirth.

Memoirs, which was first slated for an August 25 release via Island Def Jam, will now be available September 15. According to the Universal Music Group website, Carey’s new single, “Obsessed,” is at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

A new date has not yet been scheduled for Rebirth. In an interview with MTV News last week, Diddy confessed that he was pushing back his album’s release to avoid competition with hip-hop heavyweights Jay-Z and Drake.
