We hear Glee’s Lea Michele is on tap to return to her Broadway roots after lobbying for an audition for the role of Fanny Brice in the upcoming Great White Way revival of the classic musical Funny Girl. Michele — who rose to fame showing off her stellar pipes in the popular theatrical production Spring Awakening — is said to be eager to follow in the footsteps of her showbiz idol Barbra Streisand, who originated the Fanny part in the 1964 original.
