Lauren Conrad is clearing up confusion over the future of her clothing line with a message to fans on her MySpace Celebrity page.
LC insists her high-end Lauren Conrad Collection has not be forced out of business by a crippled economy, as fans feared following an announcement that the MTV reality star had decided to take a break from designing.
The line has simply gone “on hiatus” so that Lauren an make her threads even more desirable for fans; Lauren assures us that she’s not giving up on fashion.
“The truth is I was the one who asked to take a couple seasons off. I learned so much in the past year and I want to apply that to the improvement of my clothing line.”

After five seasons of friendships, feuds, and fashion, Lauren Conrad is shutting off the camera and turning her back on The Hills.
The 23-year-old designer says ending her run on the wildly-successful MTV reality show is the only way to keep her sanity intact.
“There are episodes that I watch when I actually annoy myself. I just want to be like, ‘Get it together!’”
