Retired CNN primetime host Larry King is returning to a TV screen near you. King, who departed his CNN talk show Larry King Live after 25 years last month, is set to make a guest spot on the ABC comedy Better With You in March. The episode — which films in Los Angeles next week — finds Ben (Josh Cooke) running in to King, who is staying at the hotel Ben manages.
The final episode of CNN’s Larry King Live will end much the same way it began nearly 26 years ago.
Primetime’s favorite suspenders-clad interviewer will sign off with the same guest he started his show with in 1985 — former New York Governor Mario Cuomo, tipsters told HollywoodLife.com this week.
This just in: Piers Morgan is getting Larry King’s job.
On Wednesday, CNN announced that former British tabloid editor and America’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan “will host a candid, in-depth newsmaker interview program” on the ratings-challenged cable network beginning in January.
Presented without comment, outgoing host of CNN’s Larry King King Live – Larry King — singing Lady Gaga’s “PokerFace” on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM AM radio show last Thursday.
Don’t quit your day jobs, guys. Oops — guess it’s too late for that!
Piers Morgan appears to be closing in on CNN’s coveted 9 PM talk show spot, which’ll open up this fall when Larry King says goodbye to his Larry King Live after 25 years on the air.
Naturally, the guy with the glasses and suspenders has something to say about the former English tabloid reporter widely rumored to be his replacement.
