I sometimes get exasperated with Lady Gaga’s silly outfits because underneath all that crap, the chick is mad talented and the costumes only serve to distract from that.
Here she is on Monday’s ep of “The View” in a houndstooth suit and houndstooth shoes, wearing houndstooth glasses at a houndstooth piano and singing into a houndstooth mic — but nevermind all that. Just listen to her wail.
Mama Monster is headed to the shelves of a bookseller near you. A coffee-table book featuring “intimate” portraits (Down boys, not those kinds of intimate portraits…) of Lady Gaga “as never before seen” — which we presume means she’ll actually be wearing pants and a sensible pair of shoes for once.
If this pop superstar thing doesn’t work out, a promising new career as a reality show judge may await Lady Gaga about a decade down the road. The eccentric singer woke up Thursday to kudos and “Atta Girls” from TV pundits after her debut as a guest judge on last night’s edition of the FOX summer talent show hit So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD).
And the fact that she cried certainly didn’t hurt matters.

Put away those claws, Little Monsters!
Some of Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters have begun behaving like hopped-up Beliebers after their idol, whom they’ve affectionately dubbed Mother Monster, failed to score as many MTV Video Music Award nominations as they would have liked. While the 2010 VMAs were all about Gaga (and her beef jerky ensemble), nominee frontrunners Katy Perry and Adele are the belles of this year’s ball; putting both songstresses right in the crosshairs of some pretty disgruntled pop fans. Yikes!
Clearly, Lady Gaga was not “Born This Way.” You know, bald…
