“Oh, the youngster! He was the Sharkboy, and I played the mother of the other kid who imagined Sharkboy and Lavagirl in Robert Rodriguez’s movie, and I met him down in Texas. He was a kid,” Kristin tells MTV News about her former co-star. “He was a kid and he didn’t have those muscles, and I don’t know what happened. I see these pictures [now and] I can’t believe it.”
The SATC star is still getting used to Taylor the sex symbol.

“I feel protective, like what is he doing without his shirt on? And then I hear he’s dating people and I’m like, ‘Ahh!’” says Kristin, who describes Taylor as a class act. “He’s a great kid and he works really, really, really hard and he had a great professional ethic when I worked with him,” she continued. “[He was] nothing of those negative things that you think of with child actors. So for anyone to be succeeding, I’m happy for him.”

The 44-year-old has played Charlotte on the hit HBO series as well as in its two subsequent movie incarnations since 1998.

Davis met Sex creator Darren Star in 1995 when she played the devious Brooke Armstrong for one season on Melrose Place, where he was executive producer. A couple of years later, Star invited her to audition for the role of the sex columnist, Kristin claims. She said that the original role of Carrie – eventually portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker – was “very different” from the one viewers saw.

Kristin tells The Age: “Honestly, none of the four of us are so jaded that we take it for granted. It is amazing that we still get to work together. We are sitting around the same table and chairs as we were in 1997. It still feels right.”

Actress Kristin Davis has announced plans to join fellow Sex And The City star Sarah Jessica Parker (Bitten, Steve & Barry) in launching her own line of signature fashions.

Kristin’s line of dresses, knits, jeans, handbags, shoes, jewelry and lingerie, priced between $38-$240, will go on-sale this Fall. Kristin has teamed up with North Carolina retailer Belk to develop a collection that promises to be “feminine” and “flirty.” Kristin grew up in South Carolina and chose Belk, which serves six states below the Mason-Dixon Line, because she shopped there as a girl.

“The only way I would have done a line of clothing is to do it at Belk,” Kristin said in a statement. “I feel like I understand what the Southern woman wants to wear — it’s influenced my personal style so much growing up in the South.”

Sex And The City star Kristin Davis calls her twenties “the worst time of my life” thanks to a vicious battle with alcoholism.

“I am an alcoholic,” the actress, who played straight-laced “Uptown Girl” Charlotte York on HBO’s iconic comedy, reveals to Globe Magazine.

Kristin says she started drinking to overcome her shyness as a teen growing up in South Carolina.

“Alcohol freed me,” said Kristin. “I was really shy and I didn’t know how to come out of my shell. People in the south drink a lot. From fifteen onward people hand you bourbon.”

“I drank for the same reason I loved acting. I wanted to feel things and express myself and be free – and I’m not naturally that way. I wasn’t outgoing. I wasn’t commanding attention.”

Kristin says she has been clean and sober for eighteen years following years of intense therapy.

A date with nudie Sex And The City star Kristin Davis has been sold for $52,000 on eBay.

The actress auctioned the opportunity to join her at the May 27th World Premiere of the big-screen version of the show to raise money for charity Oxfam America.

Ebay user ‘Superiorlotus912′ and a friend will be chauffeured to the NYC-premiere, and receive a makeover and a pair of Jimmy Choo ‘Felix’-style shoes as part of the auction winnings.
