Kristen Bell Appeals To Fans To Lobby For “Veronica Mars” Movie

Kristen Bell is calling on fans to voice their support for a big screen adaptation of her shortlived TV series Veronica Mars.

The actress starred as a student-turned-private investigator for the cult series, which was dropped after three seasons when UPN and The WB merged to become The CW Network in 2006.

Over the weekend, Kristen took to her Twitter blog to issue a plea for fans to help bring Veronica back to life.

She wrote: “VM movie fans – Rob (Thomas) and I took it to WB (Warner Brothers) – and they said, ‘There is no enthusiasm’ to make it. So fans have to convince WB! Rob and I are in!”

“I’ve told ‘em I want to so bad – I think they don’t think it will make any money so they want to be sure people will see it. Big business. Ugh. My guess would be the best route is anywhere Warner Brothers asks 4 (sic) feedback, you guys write, ‘We want the VM movie.’”

Former Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell is set to take over the role made famous by Winona Ryder in the musical theater adaptation of the 1988 cult classic Heathers.

The actress has reportedly been involved in a series of top secret readings this week for a role in the musical, which will begin touring next year.

Heathers: The Musical will eventually debut on Broadway.
