Kim Kardashian celebrated her 33rd birthday at TAO Las Vegas over the weekend, just days after accepting a marriage proposal from beau Kanye West. Speaking of which, the socialite has a unique motto when it comes to her upcoming third wedding ceremony: Whatever Yeezy wants, Yeezy gets.
Talk about pulling out all the stops, Kanye West. For his proposal to Kim Kardashian, the anything-but-humble rapper rented out a baseball park, with 50-piece orchestra, fireworks and a $1.6 million diamond ring designed by Lorraine Schwartz.
As the orchestra played Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful,” the scoreboard screen at San Francisco’s AT&T Park flashed up with the phrase:
“PLEEEASE MARRY MEEEE!!!”
Naturally, it wouldn’t be a Kardashian moment if it wasn’t caught on camera.
Kanye West proposed to the mother of his child, Kim Kardashian, as the controversial socialite celebrated her 33rd birthday Monday night.
Popping the question in a way that only Yeezus could, the rapper asked for Kim’s hand in marriage while a 50-piece orchestra played Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful,” followed by his own hit “Knock You Down.” Kanye presented Kim with a 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring as “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEEE!!” flashed on the scoreboard.
It’s that ample rock that has a lot of people buzzing ’round the blogosphere this morning. Eagle-eyed Goss Gawkers couldn’t help notice that the jewel looks suspiciously like the Lorraine Schwartz band NBA star Kris Humphries paid $2 million for when he proposed to the now twice-divorced Kim in May 2011. That engagement ring — comprised of a 16.21-carat diamond center and two 1.80-carat side diamond — fetched $749,000 when it was sold at Christie’s auction house in New York City last week.
