The tabloid that narrowly escaped a massive libel suit after it published a scoop romantically-linking married sportsman David Beckham to a British hooker last year has now raised the ire of socialite Kim Kardashian and her Team of Ambulance Chasers. The legally-savvy daughter of late attorney Robert Kardashian is threatening to sue the ink off of the glossy after they went public with a scoop claiming that the newly-engaged star has been secretly hooking up with an NFL player, unbeknownst to Kris Humphries, her hoopster fiance.

Kris Humphries, a hoopster with the New Jersey Nets, might have proposed to Kardashian with a lavish 20.5 carat, $2 million engagement ring, but big bling is no guarantee for a marriage being rock solid — so the reality queen is insisting on a prenup.
“It’s the smart thing to do,” both Kim and Kris have reportedly told their friends.
