Producer and songwriter Ryan Tedder is a bit taken aback over Kelly Clarkson’s assertion that he ripped off his own work on Beyonce’s 2008 hit “Halo” for her new single “Already Gone.” Read the rest of this entry »
Kelly Clarkson is once again at odds with RCA Records. This time the dispute is over her new power ballad — which sounds bizarrely like Beyonce’s 2008 hit, “Halo.”
The dispute began after the American Idol Season One champ realized that “Already Gone,” a tune she co-wrote with hit songwriter Ryan Tedder, was a deadringer for another Tedder-penned tune, “Halo.”
Tedder recently confessed that he gave both platinum-selling singers a tune with the same backing track. However, by the time Kelly heard “Halo” and realized the similarities between the tracks, it was too late to make changes to her current album, All I Ever Wanted, which debut last spring. Former American Idol Kelly Clarkson — who will appear in VH1’s Divas Special in September — has unveiled a video for “Already Gone,” the third single off her current album All I Ever Wanted.
Kelly Clarkson will be hitting the road on her “All I Ever Wanted Tour” this fall, the platinum-selling American Idol announced Tuesday.
Supported by Aussie sister act The Veronicas and Parachute, Kelly’s fall tour kicks off Oct. 2 in Uncasville, Conn. The trek will make stops in 32 North American citiesbefore wrapping up in Hollywood, Fla. on Dec. 13.
More than a decade after its inception, VH1 is revamping its Divas Live concert series with a new crop of upcoming and coming songbirds, the network said in a statement Tuesday. British vocalists Adele and Leona Lewis, former American Idol Kelly Clarkson, and teen star Miley Cyrus will follow in the footsteps of chart queen, like Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, and Mariah Carey, by headlining this year’s show, airing live from the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, New York on Thursday, Sept. 17 @ 9/8c. The celebrity sect isn’t in a forgiving sort of mood when it comes to razor-tongued meanie Perez Hilton. In fact, some celebrities, like Grammy winner Kelly Clarkson, find the celebrity gossip blogger’s weekend beatdown in Toronto downright funny.
In case you live under a boulder, the web’s No.1 shit starter has fingered Black Eyed Peas manager Polo Molina in the assault that left him with a black eye and a bloody nose.
In an interview with the website The Gossip Kid on Monday, singer Kelly Clarkson said that while she does not condone violence, Perez had it coming. Kelly noted that since blogger is not even nice to young celebrities, like Disney’s Miley Cyrus, or the children of celebs, no one is going to shed any tears for him.
“You’re mean to children! No one’s going to pity you,” Kelly joked.
“I do not think violence is the answer, but what do you expect? I’m surprised it hasn’t happened already,” the original American Idol laughed. “I’m thinking how much did will.i.am pay his manager to do that?”
During an appearance on Australia’s 2 Day “Kyle and Jackie O Show,” the world’s first American Idol — an admitted Twilight fanatic — confirmed she’s got a itsy-bitsy bit of a thing for on-screen bloodsucker Robert Pattinson.
“Yes, he’s an attractive guy,” Kelly told the hosts. “But I think girls are more so into that whole Dracula bit. It’s very sexy… I don’t know him. I’ve never really seen him in interviews either… [But] yeah, he’s cute.”
Kelly Clarkson thinks its “hot” when other women flirt with her.
The “I Do Not Hook Up” singer who over the years has repeatedly denied speculation she is a lesbian, doesn’t mind if attractive women shower her with attention when she is out partying.
“The rumors are not helping me on the dating front! I prefer the boys. I’m extremely flattered when I do get hit on by girls and I think it’s hot but I’m not into it. I like boys,” the nation’s first American Idol explained in an interview on 2Day FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show Wednesday.
