Fan Dies At Kelly Clarkson Concert In Boston

Kelly Clarkson’s Tuesday night concert in Boston, Massachusetts was marred by tragedy after a fan suffered a fatal heart attack, The Detroit Free Press reports.

A 38-year-old man collapsed while the pop star was onstage at Boston University’s Agganis Arena. He was unconscious and in cardiac arrest when paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 10PM to transport him by ambulance to a nearby hospital. He was later pronounced dead, Boston University spokesman Colin Riley said.

“It’s terribly tragic, unfortunate,” he said. “But the EMTs did everything they can and I’m sure they’re very saddened that they weren’t able to revive the individual.”

“When I first started the rehearsals, I thought the other contestants were all lovely, but it’s suddenly become much more competitive and there’s a bit of bullying going on behind the scenes,” Kelly says.
“There’s a rumor floating around that one of the celeb dancers has been having secret lessons for two years! That is so not fair.”

In a video posted on YouTube on Friday, the nation’s first “American Idol” covered Miley Cyrus’ hit single “The Climb,” with the help of two of her backup singers.

The song came one day after both Kelly and Miley took the stage at the VH1: Divas Concert in Brooklyn, NY.

Former American Idol Kelly Clarkson is among the celebrities giving hip-hop’s Village Idiot a piece of her mind after his disrespectful treatment of country singer Taylor Swift at the 26th Annual MTV Video Music Awards in New York City Sunday.

In a scathing open letter to rapper Kanye West uploaded to her Official Blog Sunday, Kelly wrote:

Dear Kanye,

What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like shit. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty shitty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you…which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??

I was actually nominated in the same category that Taylor won and I was excited for her…so why can’t you be?? I’m not even mad at you for being an asshole…I just pity you because you’re a sad human being.

On a side note, Beyonce has always been a class act and proved again tonight that she still is. Go TEXAS!!

More celebrities are stepping in to fill the void left by the departure of American Idol judge Paula Abdul. American Idol Season One champ Kelly Clarkson and one-third of pop star The Jonas Brothers will help find the nation’s next singing sensation when they take over as celeb judges at an Idol audition next week, FOX News’ Pop Tarts column revealed on Tuesday.

We hear Joe Jonas is scheduled to join Randy, Simon, and Kara at the judges table for auditions in Dallas, TX next week.

Kelly Osbourne Reality Show Premiering On MTV This Fall

Kelly Osbourne has inked a deal to star in her own reality show on MTV. The rock offspring is letting the world into her life again seven years after she shot to fame on The Osbournes, one of Music Television’s first celebrity reality shows.

The series, which ran from 2002 until 2005, followed the lives of rocker Ozzy Osbourne, his manager-wife Sharon, and their kids.

“Kelly is TV gold. We’ve been wanting to do something with her for ages,” an MTV source tells The Sun.

“MTV viewers know her well from her time on The Osbournes with the rest of her family so we know they’ll tune in in droves. And obviously we’re hoping the rest of her madcap family will get involved with the program.”

The still-untitled show, co-starring Kelly’s model fiance, Luke Worrall, will premiere later this year.

Controversy Continues Over Kelly Clarkson Airbrushed Self Cover

Kelly Clarkson fans continue to express their outrage over the singer’s heavily airbrushed appearance on the new cover of Self Magazine.

While the 27-year-old award-winning singer says she is happy with her figure, Self editors dramatically photoshopped away Kelly’s natural curves in a set of controversial snaps in the magazine’s September issue. Lucy Danziger, editor-in-chief of the women’s health magazine, took to the publication’s original site on Tuesday to defend the retouching of the star for the second time in less than a week.

In a post on Self.com, she wrote: “Yes. Of course we do retouching. Did we alter her appearance? Only to make her look her personal best…I think this photo is the truest we have ever put out there on the newsstand.”

Clarkson fans aren’t buying it.

“Taking out red eye and airbrushing a pimple would be making her look her personal best,” fumes one angry commentor at Jezebel.com, where the controversy is brewing.

“You completely changed the way her body looked. Why even bother asking Kelly Clarkson to pose in your magazine if you didn’t think her body fit into your idea of what was best?”

Editors for SELF Magazine are responding to questions as whether they heavily airbrushed the September issue of the women’s lifestyle mag, which features sometimes-portly American Idol Kelly Clarkson.

“Yes, of course we do post-production corrections on our images,” Editor-in-Chief Lucy Danziger told The Insider Thursday.

While Kelly has long been the target of tabloid reports about her weight, Lucy insists the singer’s images were airbrushed because the practice is standard in the industry — not because they wanted Kelly to appear slimer. The mag stands behind its decision.

“SELF magazine inspires and informs our 6 million readers each month to reach their all around best,” Lucy adds. “Kelly Clarkson exudes confidence, and is a great role model for women of all sizes and stages of their life. She works out and is strong and healthy, and our picture shows her confidence and beauty. She literally glows from within. That is the feeling we’d all want to have. We love this cover and we love Kelly Clarkson.”

Kelly Clarkson has bowed down to RCA record bosses by performing the new single she’s dubbed a “rip-off” of Beyonce’s 2008 hit “Halo” during a live concert on Good Morning America Friday.

The free show drew a crowd of thousands to Rumsey Playfield in New York City’s Central Park this morning.

Early this week, the former American Idol claimed songwriter/producer Ryan Tedder sent her the ballad “Already Gone” without telling her he’d already offered the backing track to Beyonce. Kelly says her pleas to label execs not to release the track because it sounded too much like “Halo” were ignored.

“In the end, they’re releasing it without my consent. It sucks, but it’s one of those things I have no control over. I already made my album. At this point, the record company can do whatever they want with it. It’s kind of a shitty situation, but… you know, you learn,” the singer explained in a statement Tuesday.
