More than a month after wrapping the third season of her smash Bravo series, The Real Housewives of New York’s Kelly Bensimon is still shooting down rumors that she had a mental breakdown while on vacation in St. John’s with her RHONY castmates earlier this year.
“I am not crazy. I am unpredictable,” the former model told Harper’s Bazaar for its August issue. “I’m not in therapy. I don’t have any regrets. I’m glad I went on ‘Housewives’ because the show has made me more known…You say ‘crazy Kelly,’ that search engine’s going to go bananas, but if you say ‘sweet Kelly,’ it’s going to go nowhere,” the reality star said of her Google hits.
Oh brother! After suffering what she calls “systematic bullying” from her Real Housewives of New York City costars, Big Apple socialite Kelly Bensimon has issued a de facto public service announcement reminding reality fans that its “never okay” to torment others.
The ex-model recently raised questions about emotional well-being after suffering an apparent on-air meltdown on the popular Bravo show last month. Bensimon also prompted raised eyebrows in recent weeks when she threatened to delete her Facebook account after the taunts of online protestors became too great.
“I just want to clear the air,” Bensimon says in video posted to her YouTube account on Tuesday. “While filming the Real Housewives, there was a lot that happened but the most important thing that happened is one thing that I realized: Systematic bulling is never okay.”
Kelly Bensimon — star of Bravo’s hit docu-soap The Real Housewives of New York City — says she’s hasn’t flown over the cuckoo’s nest…Not yet anyway.
The former model is speaking out about the odd behavior she displayed on last week’s show. The bizarre turn of events has left devoted Real Housewives fans scratching their heads and questioning Bensimon’s mental stability.
Kelly just doesn’t get what all the fuss is about.
Ah — gotta love a good reality show meltdown. On Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City Thursday, model-turned-Playboy centerfold Kelly Bensimon lost it in a during a tense dinner with her castmates — prompting serious questions about how appropriate it is to watch mental health crisis play out on national television! Not only does Kelly think Bethenny Frankel will kill her. She accuses Alex McCord of being a vampire. While the sleep-deprived beauty might have been playing up the crazy for the cameras, nothing says “Looney Tunes” to us faster than talk of bloodsucking and Al Sharpton.
The mean streets of the World Wide Web have proven too tough for one “Real Housewife.”
New York City socialite and former Playboy centerfold Kelly Killoren Bensimon will be deleting her Facebook account at the end of the week after snippy remarks from online foes became too much for the Bravo reality star to handle.
