English Sweetheart Cheryl Cole may be frozen out of the upcoming American adaptation of The X Factor as FOX and series producers eye pop powerhouses Christina Aguilera, Katy Perry, and Rihanna for a spot on the judges’ panel.

According to USA TODAY, Perry will play Zoey’s cousin, “a beautiful and naive girl whom the gang decides to call ‘Honey,’” in a one-episode guest arc debuting later this season.
CBS’ announcement comes on the heels of Perry picking up two prizes Wednesday’s People’s Choice Awards. Katy won statues for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Online Sensation.
