Katy Perry has left her management team fuming after cancelling an appearance on British TV so she could have sex with new boyfriend Russell Brand. Bosses at Perry’s EMI record label were furious after she was photographed going to a London restaurant with Brand while the TV recording took place.

The “I Kissed A Girl” singer was due to appear on Chris Moyles’ Quiz Night on Tuesday night, but her comic beau called the program’s host just hours before filming to let him know the pop star was unavailable. Panicked show producers were left scrambling to find a replacement, before nabbing Mamma Mia! actor Dominic Cooper.

“Katy was due to be the star guest on Chris’ show. But he got a call from Russell late the night before telling him Katy wouldn’t be appearing as they wanted to spend the evening together,” a entertainment mole tattles to The Sun Wednesday. “Chris was a bit annoyed but thinks Katy is hot as well – and if she was his girlfriend he would probably do the same!”

Katy Perry opened the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin, Germany on Thursday night with a cabaret-inspired mash-up.

The 25-year-old star — who returned as host of the show for the second year in a row — donned a skimpy leotard and straddled a chair to sing David Guetta and Kelly Rowland’s “When Love Takes Over,” Lady GaGa’s “Poker Face,” Beyonce’s, “Halo,” and the Black Eyed Peas’, ‘”I Gotta Feelings.”

Like most Hollywood lovers, Russell Brand and Katy Perry are diving head first into their new romance, reportedly wasting no time taking their month-old to the next level by planning to move in together. The British comic and the quirky charttopper are rumored to be eyeing a 5000-square-foot apartment in the Hollywood Hills.

Katy Perry celebrated her 25th birthday bash with a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-themed White Party at The Beach Restaurant on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood over the weekend.

The “Hot N Cold” singer paid homage to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and donned Oompa-Loompa painted nails during an event that left guests splatted with multi-colored paint on Saturday night.

The bash was attended by Katy’s new boyfriend Russell Brand and celebrity pals Taylor Swift, Julianne Hough, and blogger Perez Hilton.
