Kathy Hilton is urging Paris Hilton to stay away from dating, insisting her heiress spawn needs “time” to heal following her split from Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden.

Benji and Paris called it quits last November after nine months of dating.

Paris is now rumoured to be “making a little time” for The Hills’ Doug Reinhardt, who previously dated actress Amanda Bynes.

The socialite’s mom, on the other hand, insists her oldest daughter spend a few months without a boyfriend so she can learn to enjoy life as a single woman.

Kathy told Fox News on Wednesday, “My dating advice for Paris would be just to take your time. It is okay to be alone; you don’t have to always be with someone.”

Socialite Kathy Hilton, mother of heiress Paris Hilton, has lashed out at Republican presidential hopeful John McCain for his buzzed about campaign ad comparing Democratic senator Barack Obama to celebrities Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.

“I’ve been asked again and again for my response to the now infamous McCain celebrity ad,” the Hilton matriarch told The Huffington Post on Sunday. “I actually have three responses. It is a complete waste of the money John McCain’s contributors have donated to his campaign.”

“It is a complete waste of the country’s time and attention at the very moment when millions of people are losing their homes and their jobs. And it is a completely frivolous way to choose the next President of the United States.”

Hilton Family matriarch Kathy Hilton is becoming a B-list actress in her own right. After making a few cameo appearances on the Emmy-winning daytime drama The Young & The Restless earlier this year, Kathy will have a cameo appearance as the wife of Tom Cruise in the new Ben Stiller/Tom Cruise comedy Tropic Thunder, opening later this Summer.

“She filmed last winter and didn’t even tell her kids because she wanted to surprise them,” a set insider tells In Touch Weekly. “She raved about Tom,” says the insider. “She said he was so warm and friendly and made her very comfortable.”

Kathy Hilton will appear as herself in a May 13th cameo appearance on CBS’s long-running daytime drama, The Young & The Restless.

Paris Hilton is having a hard time convincing her socialite mother that her feelings for boyfriend-of-the-moment Benji Madden are genuine. Kathy Hilton believes her oldest daughter is only dating the musician to rattle the cage of frenemy Nicole Richie, who is dating Benji’s twin brother, Joel Madden.

According to report from The National Enquirer: Kathy – who’s grown very fond of the poor little Richie girl over the years, cheering on her uphill fight to get straight – “had a talk with Paris about it, questioning her motives for dating Benji,” says a family friend. “Kathy flat-out asked her, ‘Are you doing this just to rile Nicole?’ Kathy loves her daughter, but knows the girl doesn’t have an earnest bone in her body – she’s always up to something, and it would be like her to date the brother of Nicole’s future husband just to get her goat!”

Despite mother’s skepticism Paris spoke out about her relationship with the Good Charlotte rocker on her official Myspace blog on Tuesday:

“I’ve never felt so happy and in love. [Benji] is such an amazing guy and life has never been better.”

The public antics of her children may be finally getting to socialite Kathy Hilton. After plopping down $1.5 million on PR and marketing geared at improving the Hilton image, Kathy is reportedly livid over Tuesday morning’s DUI arrest of her eighteen year old son Barron and the weekend tongue-war between daughter Paris and actress Lindsay Lohan at a Pre-Grammy Party last Friday night.

Mama Hilton herself unleashed quite the stream of rough language on Paris after a tabloid TV reporter called, asking for a reaction to the Paris-Lindsay catfight, according to a published report.
