Kathie Lee Gifford has confirmed reports that she will return to morning television. The former Live! co-host will join the fourth hour of the Today Show next Monday, April 7th, she announced on Monday.

“It couldn’t be worse timing, in some ways,” Kathie Lee says. “I’m eight years older, 10 pounds heavier and half-an-inch shorter — just in time for HD television.”

Kathie Lee’s Today debut is set for next month, with an official announcement of her hire expected to be made within the next two weeks, Florida-based television station FTVLive reported on Thursday.
