We’ve seen the last of Dr. Isobel “Izzie” Stevens. Katherine Heigl confirms her departure from Grey’s Anatomy in this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly.
Grey’s creator Shonda Rhimes has granted Heigl her request to be let out of her contract 18 months early.
Poor Katherine Heigl suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction at the ShoWest Awards in Las Vegas on Thursday. Her dress broke as she was accepting the prize for Female Star of the Year. Instead of a big round of applause, Heigl, 31, was the center of audience snickers. Lucky for the soon-to-be former Grey’s Anatomy star, Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush, who was hosting, was on hand to hold the strap together as she gave her thank-yous.
Katherine later managed to laugh off the incident.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that budding movie star Katherine Heigl is poised to exit her role as Dr. Isobel Stevens on Grey’s Anatomy. On Thursday, television snitch Michael Ausiello cited industry tattles who claim that after seven seasons, an Emmy, and a boatload of controversies, series creator Shonda Rhimes has given the greenlight to a deal to release Heigl from her contract with the award-winning ABC medical drama. We hear Katherine’s “people” are in the process of hashing out the deets on an agreement that will pave the way for the 27 Dresses to exit Seattle Grace.
Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl has swapped her signature blonde curls for a new brunette look, The Daily Mail reports. The 31-year-old actress was seen with the new hairstyle while out with her daughter in Los Feliz, California on Monday.
