Well — Maks will not be pleased…..

Fleet-footed Dancing With the Stars stunner Karina Smirnoff is engaged to wed engaged to Brad Penny — an MLB player who pitched for the St. Louis Cardinals last season, according to PEOPLE Magazine. The couple actually became engaged on October 4, following Karina’s futuristic foxtrot with Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino on Dancing, but chose to keep the wedding news to themselves until now. The announcement comes just a nanosecond (Ok, ok, a year…) after Karina ended her engagement with DWTS castmate-turned- acrimonous ex Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Karina Smirnoff has been booted from the professional lineup on Dancing With the Stars, E! Gossip Guy Marc Malkin has learned. Instead of burning up the floor with one of this season’s hasbeens, the Ukrainian dancer will instead be serving DWTS behind the scenes as a choreographer when the popular ballroom dancing competition returns for its 10th season this March.

The news comes after DWTS producers decided not to pair Karina with any of the 11 celebrity competitors joining the show this season. Smirnoff has previously competed with entertainment journalist Mario Lopez (who later became Karina’s cheating ex) and ex-boy bander Aaron Carter.

The ballroom isn’t big enough for both Maks Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff, according to PopEater’s “Naughty or Nice Column.” There’s obviously no love loss between the once hopelessly devoted pair, but the tension between the bitter former flames has become so toxic that Dancing With The Stars producers are teetering with the idea of showing one of the pros the door, blab behind-the-scenes gossips on the set of the popular ABC talent competition.

Maks and Karina were together for nearly a year before abruptly calling off their engagement in September.

Never one to mince words, outspoken Dancing With The Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy has revealed that he no longer likes his former fiancee — and fellow DWTS star — Karina Smirnoff.

Well, at least he isn’t bitter…..
