While the girls were supposed to be showing off their stunning bikini bodies and sharing secrets for staying slim, LeAnn used the opportunity to vent over recent reports alleging she engaged in an extramarital affair with her Northern Lights co-star Eddie Cibrian. A rep for Dancing With The Stars pro Julianne Hough has confirmed that the rising country music starlet will appear alongside Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford in next summer’s motion picture remake of Footloose — “if her schedule permits.”
Julianne has been tapped for the role of feisty preacher’s daughter Ariel Moore in the remake of the 1984 dance flick. The original film starred Kevin Bacon as a big-city kid who moves to a small town where dancing has been banned by an outspoken local minister, played by John Lithgow.
Footloose — directed by High School Musical lensman Kenny Ortega — expected to begin filming in March 2010 for a July 2010 theatrical release.

Last month, Dancing With the Stars pro Julianne Hough announced that she would be leaving the hit ABC show for one season to focus on her country singing career — which has gotten off to a strong start following the release of Julianne’s debut LP just last year.
On Monday, the bubbly blonde she released a statement assuring fans that she’ll be back in her dancing shoes by early next year.
“I am appreciative to be taking this coming season of Dancing with the Stars off to focus on my other career paths like touring in support of my album and recording my next one. I look forward to returning to DWTS in early 2010,” Julianne said in the statement to PEOPLE.

“It’s a good thing I ripped my dress because now I have something else to think about,” an overwhelmed and tearful Julianne told the audience as she accepted her trophy for Top New Artist.

Ballroom champion Julianne Hough has confirmed that she will not appear on the upcoming eighth season of the ABC reality hit Dancing With The Stars next Spring; in fact, the aspiring country superstar says she may be quitting the show for good.
Julianne has decided to focus her attention on perfecting her music.
