Jordin Sparks is nursing a bruised leg after a terrifying run-in with a pitbull over the weekend, when an unleashed dog hoofing around Manhattan locked its jaw around her gam, chomped down, and went to lunch. Jordin was taking her furry, four-legged friend to the park for a day of warm air and bright sunshine on Sunday when a vicious little pit ran up to Sparks and bit her.

Broadway just got a new Idol.
Singer Jordin Sparks, who became the youngest person in history to win American Idol when she snatched victory on the TV talent show in 2007, will make her Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning musical In The Heights this summer. The “No Air” star has been cast as Nina Rosario for a 12-week engagement kicking off Thursday, Aug 19.
Sparks is just the latest in a bevy of former American Idol stars to grace the bright lights of the Great White Way. Idol Season 5 champ Taylor Hicks appeared as “Teen Angel” in the Broadway revival of Grease, while Constantine Maroulis won critical acclaim in the hit musical Rock of Ages.

Handlers for former American Idol Jordin Sparks are concerned about a “creepy” fan who has reportedly become obsessed with the “Battlefield” singer.
“I was in London when that happened to Leona Lewis. What’s wrong with people? I’e never been physically harmed but there is one guy we’re suspicious of. I think he has issues,” Jordin told Britain’s Metro this week. “He’s proposed marriage to me in letters several times and he’s sent me a cell phone to call him on. It was very creepy. My security people are keeping their eyes open.”
