Eva Longoria, perhaps best known as Gaby Solis, took home a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Female TV Star during the ceremony hosted by Queen Latifah. She looks flawless. What else is new.

Snagging Best New Comedy honors, it’s the cast of “The Class.”

After filming in Malibu for Pirates of the Caribbean 3 (due out in May ‘07) Johnny spent some time with his adoring fans signing autographs. Sporting Captain Sparrow’s twin-braided beard, along with a pirate-themed t-shirt, Depp was looking somewhat like a modern-day pirate might. He took time to sign several autographs before heading out in an SUV amidst a horde of screaming girls, waving all the way.
I’ve always perceived Johnny Depp as dark and moody, and a bit of a recluse. It’s good to see him playing to the crowd and looking happy and relaxed. The guy’s got lots to be happy about, what with the success of his Jack Sparrow role and his re-kindled sex-symbol status. Whether you’re a Johnny fan or not (and who isn’t?) he’s definitely doing something right because at 43 years old he’s attracting more ‘screaming girls’ than ever before.

Readers of Jane magazine were polled recently and the results are in. The prefered cast for a Brokeback Mountain sequel, or at least another homosexual love scene, would be the well-groomed Orlando Bloom and the slightly effeminate Johnny Depp.
Depp has already addressed the questionable sexuality of Captain Jack Sparrow in previous interviews, and it wouldn’t surprise many to see the rake take advantage of his young friend. Somehow, I doubt that is part of the original Pirates of The Carribean 3 script!

Johnny Depp seems to be having trouble coming out of character. I’ve heard about this. It used to be a “real” problem with method actors: they would forget who they actually were when they got off stage. He’s quoted saying, “I’ve really come to enjoy spending time with [Captain Jack Sparrow], or as him, whatever it is. He’s definitely a big part of me.”
Johnny is even keeping his shiny choppers on camera for a while, though it sounds like he may simply be putting off the dental work. In the mean time we get to see him bumming around in his classic fedora showing off wretched gold teeth.
