Life & Style has obtained a draft of writer Julian Fellowes’ screenplay, which describes the naked encounter between Angelina’s vixen Interpol agent Cara Mason and Frank Taylor, Depp’s passive alter ego.

The revamp of the 2005 French spy thriller Anthony Zimmer follows a female Interpol agent who ropes an everyman American tourist visiting France into being bait in the hunt for a wanted criminal, who’s also her former lover.

The Pirates of the Caribbean hunk nudged aside the Wolverine star to get the coveted endorsement as the “Sexiest Man Alive” from PEOPLE Magazine Wednesday. This is the 46-year-old actor’s second time snagging the title; he also won in 2003.

“Johnny Depp was someone who was sexy 10 years ago. He’ll be sexy 10 years from now. He’s someone who appeals to multiple generations of women — and for many different reasons to different kinds of women,” says Kate Coyne, PEOPLE senior editor.

Johnny joins other double winners Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and Richard Gere.

Depp has proved popular in his role as the eccentric lover of the high seas character. The first three films have garnered more than $2.5 billion at the international box office.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star had to give the Hole singer – who has a history of alcohol and drug abuse -CPR after she collapsed following a drug binge.

Courtney tells Britain’s Style Magazine: “Nobody has ever loaned me money. I mean, I was going to die on a few occasions. Johnny Depp gave me CPR on one. That’s as close as I ever got. I was watching that movie where he plays Dillinger, and I was like ‘Motherfucker, I never had myself any JD except CPR.’”

Following the departure of Disney chief executive Dick Cook last Friday, Johnny has decided he will have to wait to see the script for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides before he will commit to the movie.

Johnny – who has played the lead role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the previous three installments of the pirate adventure trilogy – says he was “shocked and very sad” about the news when Dick phoned to tell him he was leaving. Original franchise castmembers Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley have already parted ways with Pirates.

“There’s a fissure, a crack in my enthusiasm at the moment,” he explains. “He is the utmost gentleman, so he made the call himself. He didn’t give me a reason. I didn’t see this coming. There was no reason to see this coming.”

Johnny credits Dick with convincing him to sign on for Pirates of the Caribbean in the first place.

“He’s instantly trustworthy. And you generally don’t meet people at the studios you trust. He’s a rare beast.”

Dressed as his alter-ego, Capt. Jack Sparrow, series star Johnny Depp arrived on a pirate ship to help announce the news to more than 5,000 at this year’s D23 Expo — the Disney program based on building a fan community of enthusiasts — in Anahem, California on Friday.

Earlier this month, the Pirates Of The Caribbean star raised eyebrows when he revealed that his “dream role” would be to play Channing in a gender-bending biopic about her life.

Carol doesn’t think that’s so odd, in fact, she says she’d be honored to have the Oscar-nominated Depp as an on-screen alter ego.

“It is not a new concept to me. Not at all. Men have been imitating me for as long as I can remember. In fact, most of the impersonations I have seen have had a five o’clock shadow,” the Broadway singer/actress said this week.

“I imagine, when or if Johnny should portray me, he will succeed. Because a true artist, such as himself, is one who loves his or her creation and therefore represents their honest view of that which they are creating. I think he is a gifted performer and I would be very proud, as well as interested in seeing what his vision of me would be.”

“My dream role would be to play musical legend Carol Channing in a biopic of her life. I love her, I really do. She’s amazing,” he told Britain’s The Mirror Thursday. “With all the digital technology available these days I could probably pull it off.”

Oscar-nominated actor Johnny Depp and Oscar-winning star Jamie Fox are reportedly being courted to play pop legend Michael Jackson in a new biopic based on the life of the late icon.

The “Thriller” singer died of a suspected cardiac arrest in his Los Angeles home last week. He was 50.

Foxx is being considered to play the pop icon before his skin turned white, while Johnny would take on the role thereafter.

“There are a number of offers being drawn up with a variety of angles to tell Michael’s incredible life story. Some involve using archive footage of Michael and his family and footage from his live shows…A couple would even have an actor cast to play Michael. Jamie Foxx has been mentioned, as has Johnny Depp. It all depends on how his family decide to honor him,” say an insider at one top Hollywood studio.

Jamie showed off his best moonwalk and choreography from Michael’s 1983 music video “Beat It” during the 2009 BET Awards last Sunday. For his part, Johnny has denied that he has been approached about the project.

“No no no, I never ever thought of playing Michael Jackson in a film. I think if anyone should play Michael Jackson in a film it should’ve been Michael Jackson.”
