Beat it, Hugh Jackman: Johnny Depp is once again the hottest man on the Planet.
The Pirates of the Caribbean hunk nudged aside the Wolverine star to get the coveted endorsement as the “Sexiest Man Alive” from PEOPLE Magazine Wednesday. This is the 46-year-old actor’s second time snagging the title; he also won in 2003.

“Johnny Depp was someone who was sexy 10 years ago. He’ll be sexy 10 years from now. He’s someone who appeals to multiple generations of women — and for many different reasons to different kinds of women,” says Kate Coyne, PEOPLE senior editor.
Johnny joins other double winners Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and Richard Gere.
Johnny Depp has reportedly inked a massive $33.6 million deal to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the fourth installment of Disney’s smash Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise.

Industry informants say studio bosses were so determined to get Depp back on board for 2011’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, they offered the Oscar-nominated actor a minimum $33.6 million pay deal – with additional cash incentives from ticket sales, according to London’s The Sun.
Depp has proved popular in his role as the eccentric lover of the high seas character. The first three films have garnered more than $2.5 billion at the international box office.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star is reportedly in negotiations to play the male lead opposite Angelina Jolie, replacing Sam Worthington who recently dropped out of the cast. Jolie herself was a recent replacement for Charlize Theron, who was long attached to the project.

Courtney tells Britain’s Style Magazine: “Nobody has ever loaned me money. I mean, I was going to die on a few occasions. Johnny Depp gave me CPR on one. That’s as close as I ever got. I was watching that movie where he plays Dillinger, and I was like ‘Motherfucker, I never had myself any JD except CPR.’”
Johnny Depp may not appear in the next Pirates of the Caribbean film, the Oscar-nominated actor has revealed.

Following the departure of Disney chief executive Dick Cook last Friday, Johnny has decided he will have to wait to see the script for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides before he will commit to the movie.

Dressed as his alter-ego, Capt. Jack Sparrow, series star Johnny Depp arrived on a pirate ship to help announce the news to more than 5,000 at this year’s D23 Expo — the Disney program based on building a fan community of enthusiasts — in Anahem, California on Friday.

Entertainment legend Carol Channing, 88, has given Johnny Depp her blessing to portray her in a film.

Earlier this month, the Pirates Of The Caribbean star raised eyebrows when he revealed that his “dream role” would be to play Channing in a gender-bending biopic about her life.
Carol doesn’t think that’s so odd, in fact, she says she’d be honored to have the Oscar-nominated Depp as an on-screen alter ego.

“My dream role would be to play musical legend Carol Channing in a biopic of her life. I love her, I really do. She’s amazing,” he told Britain’s The Mirror Thursday. “With all the digital technology available these days I could probably pull it off.”
