Another track has leaked from John Mayer’s forthcoming album Battle Studies, prior to its Nov. 17 release date: “Half of My Heart,” a duet with country starlet Taylor Swift.
The “Love Story” singer is a big fan of the rocker but never dreamed she’d get to sing one of his songs.
“I was so excited when he Twitter-messaged me. He was like, ‘Hey, I just wrote this song this morning and I can only hear you singing on it with me. I was like, ‘Yes!’”
Any John Mayer fans out there? “Who Says” he doesn’t have the right to smoke weed?! The acoustic crooner’s fourth studio album, Battle Studies, premieres Nov. 17.

The official music video for John Mayer’s new single “Who Says” premiered online overnight.
“When I sing it, I do not think about marijuana – I think about walking around your house naked with a guitar. It’s about being in control of the pleasure in your life,” John said of the song in an interview with Rolling Stone.
“Who Says” is confirmed as the first single off of John’s soon-to-be-released fourth album “Battle Studies,” available Nov. 17. The effort is described as “observations and a little bit of advice on relationships … kind of like a heartbreak handbook.”

Kristin Cavallari is determined to stick a cork in reports claiming she dated John Mayer. The Hills star made on appearance on On-Air With Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday, where she admitted Mayer once asked her out but insists she turned him down.
“I didn’t want to be another notch on his belt,” the 22-year-old told Ryan.
In the past, John Mayer has been romantically linked to Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson, and Jennifer Aniston. Last month, the musician took to his Twitter page to debunk rumors that he was was romancing Kristin, writing:

John Mayer will have to hand over $25,000 to charity, after losing a bet to TMZ.com editors.
On Thursday, John posted a challenge on his Twitter saying he’d pay $25,000 to whoever could unearth the mugshot from his 2001 arrest for speeding and driving without a license in Georgia, writing: “I was arrested for the same offense as Patrick Stump,” in reference to the Fall Out Boy singer who was arrested Tuesday on a two-year-old warrant for driving without a valid license.

John Mayer joked about bedding a transsexual in a posting on his Twitter page early Monday morning.
He wrote: “I’m going to pick up a wayward tranny on the way home. Not a tranny who knows where she’s going. I’m talking a chick with a d**k who’s lost [sic].”
Nearly an hour later, the 31-year-old star seemed to think better of his outburst, and wrote: “I can’t believe that last tweet made it past my internal Standards and Practices Department.”
