The crooner has set off a buzz with his new single, “Paper Doll,” which sounds like a thinly-veiled dig at his former girlfriend. Vevo premiered a lyric video for the tune on Tuesday and a host of music aficionados believe it’s the perfect response to Swift’s 2010 hit “Dear John” — which famously blasted the notorious womanizer.

Ladies man, John Mayer, couldn’t spend a special occasion alone.

Mayer and former fling, Katy Perry, were spotted together outside of a New York City restaurant, said to be celebrating Mayer’s 35th wedding anniversary. The pair were also spotted having lunch at ABC Kitchen in the Big Apple.

Katy, who rebounded after her divorce from comedian, Russell Brand, with John but split for a while. Now, the pair are seemingly back on. Sources close to Katy had told tabloids that the Wide Awake songstress had fallen madly in love with Mayer and he split it off after the pair were getting too involved.
