Joe Pesci scares the bejesus out of Helen Mirren.

The British Oscar winner, a legend in her own right, worked with the pint-sized Goodfellas actor on the upcoming film Love Ranch, but admits that she felt vulnerable in the presence of such a beloved entertainer.

“He’s an icon of American cinema so I was really very nervous and very intimidated by him. He is a fantastic actor and massive part of American culture and being English I really felt out of my depth….”

Who wouldn’t be petrified of a guy who’ll send you to sleep with the fishes if you call him “funny?”

Paris Hilton mixed up the classic gangster films Goodfellas and The Godfather during a conversation with actor Joe Pesci. How can you confuse Goodfellas with The Godfather? Both are excellent films, but they weren’t even released in the same decade, and, with the exception of the mob connection, feature entirely different storylines. Plus Goodfellas kind of owns The Godfather, don’t you think?
