Jimmy Fallon, who will replace Conan O’Brien on NBC Late Night once Conan takes over for Jay Leno on The Tonight Show later this year, appeared on Leno Monday to promote his webisodes, but wound up drenched water after an exchange with Jay.
Jimmy Fallon posted his first webisode this morning in an effort to give fans a taste of what they’ll see when the comic takes over hosting duties on NBC’s Late Night from current host Conan O’Brien next year.
Jimmy also introduced his house band, which will be none other than neo-soul hitmakers The Roots!
Webisodes of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon will premiere on NBC.com at 12:35 a.m. on December 9.
The former SNL star is scheduled to take over hosting duties on Late Night when current host Conan O’Brien departs to helm The Tonight Show in the Spring.

Former Saturday Night Live star Jimmy Fallon will replace Conan O’Brien on NBC’s Late Night once the redheaded Irishman moves to the Tonight Show in next year, The Hollywood Reporter says. NBC is expected to make an official announcement on May 12th.
