Jerry Seinfeld has signed on to be the first guest when Jay Leno returns to NBC for his new primetime series, The Jay Leno Show, next month.

Jerry will be the first guest of Jay’s new 10 PM show — alongside musical performers Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Kanye West — when it premieres on Monday, Sept. 14, The Associated Press has revealed.

Seinfeld will return to NBC this fall as the producer of a reality series entitled The Marriage Ref.

Microsoft is pulling the ill-received ad campaign featuring comedian Jerry Seinfeld and Microsoft co-founder and chairman Bill Gates.

The corporation denies that the commercial failure of the spots has anything to do with the decision to discontinue the campaign.

“All along we said we were having a teaser campaign,” Microsoft spokesman Frank Shaw said in a statement Thursday. “We’re getting ready to start the second phase. This was the plan all along.”
