Jerry O’Connell has landed the coveted role of Frankenstein-esque family patriarch Herman Munster in NBC’s remake of the ’60s sitcom The Munsters. The Peacock Network has hit the greenlight on a modern-day reboot of the classic ghoulish show, produced by Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller and described as “Modern Family meets True Blood.”
The Stand by Me star will lead the cast of Mockingbird Lane, TV Line said this week. Izzard, Charity Wakefield and Mason Cook round out the cast.
