Cougar-based romantic comedy Pumas is not the only new film Jennifer Aniston has signed up for. The Marley and Me actress and her producing partners recently secured financing to produce their labor of love project Goree Girls.
Described as a movie musical, Goree Girls is based on a true story about female inmates in a Texas prison who form the first ever all-women country act in the 1940s. The women were eventually granted pardons after becoming hugely popular on the bluegrass circuit.
“Jennifer has finally signed on the dotted line to make ‘Goree Girls’ her next movie as both star and producer. She is gearing up to shoot this during the first eight weeks of 2010,” Life & Style Weekly reports.
Jennifer Aniston has been cast in a new movie from CBS Films. Variety has learned that the 40-year-old actress will star in the upcoming romantic comedy Pumas, the story of two thirty something women on the prowl for younger men, who later find their dating ideals challenged when they go on a French skiing vacation.
“We’re very much in love. Especially her. We’re actually going to tie the knot next Tuesday.” He added, “And then on Saturday, I’m marrying Cameron Diaz. Joan Rivers will be the next weekend….” Gerard Butler responds to rumors that he is dating Jennifer Aniston.
Jennifer Aniston recently treated the entire cast and crew of her new movie The Bounty to a day off.
According to PEOPLE, the 40-year-old actress wanted her colleagues to get an early start on their Fourth of July weekend celebrations, so she used her own money to fund the absences on July 2.
“Jen is such a genuinely good person. How many people in this world would pay for an entire movie set to have off for the day?” a source divulged. “Not just anyone does that. We’re talking big bucks.”
