Singing heart-throb Jesse McCartney has landed on role on the popular ABC Family series Greek.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Jesse has been cast in the recurring role of Andy, a heavily recruited freshman jock who’ll be torn between rushing the KT and OX houses.

Singer/songwriter Jesse McCartney and American Idol Season 6 winner Jordin Sparks are joining forces and hitting the road on their own Summer concert tour next month. Jesse & Jordin Live kicks off in Sacramento August 5th. Jesse and Jordin invade Los Angeles, Aug. 7; Denver, Aug. 13; Detroit, Aug 17; New York, Aug. 19 and Washington, D.C., Aug. 30.

Jeese McCartney, a one-time popular teen heart-throb, is trying his luck at pop music success once again. After hitting the stage for NYC radio station Z100′s Zootopia Concert in New Jersey last Friday night, Jesse brought the sounds to Bryant Park for a performance on Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series.
