On the MTV VMA black carpet (they do that instead of a red carpet because they’re all edgy and stuff), Beyonce Knowles showed up in a voluminous red gown with a protective hand over her belly and said she’d be making an announcement.
Jay-Z and Kanye, who collectively call themselves “The Throne” and will drop an album called “Watch the Throne” on August 8, are reportedly engaged in some backstage drama as they prep for their upcoming tour together.

The Royals are staying tight-lipped, but The Gossip Wire is atwitter with whispers that hip-hop “It Couple” Jay-Z and Beyonce (or Jayonce, as we affectionately like to call ‘em…) have been tipped to provide the entertainment during Prince William and bride-to-be Kate Middleton’s royal wedding reception at Buckingham Palace this Friday.
She certainly wasn’t too tired and worn down to go to war with fellow songstress Ciara via Twitter over the weekend, but hip-hop mogul Jay-Z is reportedly concerned that his protege Rihanna is overexerting herself at the expense of health.
It’s Tuesday and the highly anticipated first single from Jay-Z and Kanye West’s upcoming collaborative LP — titled Watch the Throne — has debuted on the Interwebs! The single, “H.A.M.” (“Hard as a Mutha-”), sees the hip-hop kings spitting hard-hitting verses backed by a theatrical and dramatic opera. A bass-heavy track cultivated by Lex Luger — who is emerging as a the go-to producer for some of rap’s biggest names — “H.A.M.” boasts a beat that doesn’t disappoint.
