Jay-Z is hitting back at critics of his anniversary getaway in Cuba with wife Beyonce the best way he knows how: in song. The hip-hop mogul released a new track titled “Open Letter” on Thursday morning. The beat’s sure to get heads bobbing, but the lyrics are pretty cutting.
Looks like JayZ and Beyonce have upset a few people.
The power couple spent a vacation celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary in Cuba. U.S. Reps. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Mario Diaz-Balart of Florida have written to the U.S. Department of Treasury expressing concern about the trip. Even pending fatherhood can’t curb Kanye West’s famously flippant tongue. So we suppose no one should be surprised that Yeezy took several overt jabs at his best friend, the rap mogul’s wife Beyonce and pop crooner Timberlake during a concert in London last weekend.
He may only be 2-years-old, but let Alicia Keys, her son’s already set his sights on an equally cute-as-a-button celebutot: Beyonce and Jay-Z’s 13 month old daughter Blue Ivy. Alicia, who welcomed little Egypt Dean with producer husband Swiss Beatz in October 2010, revealed her son’s crush during an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show Monday.
Alas, it seems not everyone is thrilled about the adorable love connection — least of all Blue’s doting dad.
Well, what do you know? Little Blue Ivy Carter actually has a face — a very adorable one, might we add — and the celebrity-lovin’ masses will get a good look at it when her superstar mom premieres a hotly-awaited documentary on HBO this weekend.
