This Friday, July 9, Vice-President Joe Biden will appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno for the first time since Jan. 2009. The guest spot will be Biden’s third on NBC’s flagship late-night series. The former Delaware senator previously appeared on Tonight in 2007 and in 2008, shortly after becoming Barack Obama’s running mate.
Kevin Eubanks will say farewell to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight, ending his 18-year reign as leader of The Tonight Show band. Eubanks — who will also be Friday musical guest — says he’s leaving the late night scene to turn his focus back to his recording career.
He’ll be replaced by ex-American Idol bandleader Rickey Minor, who’ll make his debut on Tonight Monday, June 7.

Jay Leno — the featured comic at Saturday’s annual White House Correspondents’ in Washington — bravely took a hit to his famous chin from a wise-cracking President Obama during the star-studded event, which featured guest appearances by reality star Kim Kardashian and pop star Justin Bieber.
In an interview on 60 Minutes airing this Sunday, late-night comic Conan O’Brien tells 60 Minutes if he was in Jay Leno’s position –ousted from primetime and looking at a return to late-night — he would have “Done something else, go someplace else. I mean, that’s just me.”
