Because we simply don’t have enough shows depicting pseudo-celebrities making asses of themselves, VH1 has stepped in to help.
“Famous Food,” which premieres this Sunday, follows seven people you may or may not have heard of as they work together to open a restaurant on Hollywood’s famed Sunset Strip. One of those “celebrities” will then be chosen to come on board as a partner by the guys financing all this to share in its success or, most likely, to be blamed for its inevitable spectacular flameout.
Here’s your cast: Incessant famewhore and plastic-surgery victim Heidi Montag; Eliot Spitzer’s call-girl Ashley Dupre; DJ Paul and Juicy “J” from the rap group Three 6 Mafia; “Real Housewives of New Jersey” harpy Danielle Staub; Vincent Pastore, better known as Big Pussy from “The Sopranos”; and Jake Pavelka from “The Bachelor.”
The extended preview below shows the usual reality-show mess, with stress and drama and screaming about crap that absolutely doesn’t matter.
But most disturbing of all, Heidi Montag actually looks like the grown-up in the group.
Tiger Whore No. 1 Rachel Uchitel got a rude awakening when she made the mistake of trying to front her number to the newly-single (and allegedly gay) Bachelor Jake Pavelka.
During an appearance on The View Wednesday, Bachelor star Jake Pavelka confronted rumors that he split from Vienna Girardi because he has a dash of inner homosexual just itching to break out.
“There was a lack of intimacy because our problems were so heavy. I can’t separate love and intimacy — and apparently that makes me gay,” Pavelka laughed as he chatted with Whoopi, Joy, and the gang.

Hefner & Co. have made it abundantly clear that Vienna Girardi’s milkshake won’t be bringing the boys to the yard in any upcoming issues of Playboy, nonetheless the mag’s sister publication is expressing interest in the naughty bits of her former fiance, Bachelor star Jake Pavelka.
Playgirl editor-in-chief Daniel Nardicio is prepared to offer the former pilot a lusty six-figure deal to strip off on the pages of the gay-friendly publication, which has featured appearances by Levi Johnston and Ronnie Kroell in recent months.
“We’re determining the value of a shoot with Jake, who exemplifies our classic American guy at Playgirl. It’s obvious he likes the limelight, and I intuit that he looks good naked. Most people realize that reality show fame is fleeting and largely a dead end for the actors, so this is a way to extend that fame, and make a cute profit off of it,” Nardicio giggled to PopEater.com Wednesday.
