Lovely and talented Golden Globe winner Mariska Hargitay of Law & Order: SVU finally gave birth to her first child, a boy named August.

Here’s what Lucifer/FOX News has to say about it:

Mariska Hargitay, star of TV’s “Law & Order: SVU,” and her husband Peter Hermann welcomed their first child, her publicist told The Associated Press.

Hargitay delivered a baby boy named August by Caesarean section Wednesday in Los Angeles, publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnick said Thursday in an e-mail.

“Mariska and the baby are doing great,” she said.

People magazine and Us Weekly reported the baby was a week overdue but Zelnick would not confirm or deny that.

Hargitay, 42, and Hermann, an actor, married in August 2004.

Anyway, basically the whole point of this is to post a picture of Christopher Meloni. Hummina.

Elisabeth Shue has had a baby girl. The Oscar nominated “Leaving Las Vegas” actress gave birth to Agnes Charles Guggenheim on Sunday.

Spokesman for the actress, Stephen Huvane, confirmed: “Mother and daughter are happy and healthy.”

Agnes is the third child for 42-year-old Shue and husband, Davis Guggenheim, who is also 42. The couple – who tied the knot in 1994 – already have an eight-year-old son, Miles William, and a daughter, Stella Street, five.

Shue is best known for her turn as a prostitute who falls in love with a suicidal drunk, played by Nicolas Cage, in 1995 drama ‘Leaving Las Vegas’.

The actress shot to fame in the 80s in a host of future cult classics, including “The Karate Kid”, “Cocktail” and “Adventures In Babysitting”.

Guggenheim is the producer of smash hit western drama “Deadwood”.
