The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) has enlisted singer/actress Hilary Duff to record a public service announcement designed to teach teens the importance of denouncing anti-gay speech.

Hilary Duff won’t be enjoying burgers and fries at the Peach Pit, after all. The former Lizzie McGuire has reported turned down an offer to appear on a spinoff based on the 90s young adult soap opera, Beverly Hills, 90210. Hilary was up for the role of “Annie Mills,” the teen daughter, or “Brenda Walsh” of sorts, of the show’s central family. The new series will debut on The CW Network this Fall.
