Heather Locklear doesn’t just play a bitch on TV. The primetime diva appeared on classic small screen smashes like T.J. Hooker, Dynasty, and Spin City. She also famously starred as icy PR vixen Amanda Woodward on the original Melrose Place in the 1990s. But we hear the seasoned actress got into the mother of all catfights with actress-singer Ashlee Simpson on the set of the of The CW’s Melrose revival, as a rivalry ensued over who would be the show’s official Queen Bee. When the dust settled, Heather was the last the woman standing, Star Magazine claims in its Nov. 9 issue.

That’s right — Heather Locklear, who starred on the original Melrose Place for seven seasons, will reprise her role as scheming ad exec Amanda Woodward on The CW’s recent critically-panned revival of the ’90s primetime soap. Heather joined the popular series at the end of its first season and stayed on throughout its successful run. The CW better make room at Melrose Place for one more diva.
According to a PEOPLE, Heather Locklear is in talks to reprise her role as ruthless ad exec Amanda Woodard on the network’s new revival of Aaron Spelling’s ’90s primetime soap.
In April, the actress turned down an invitation to join the new cast after failing to reach a satisfactory salary agreement with Melrose producers.
Heather’s return would make her the fifth original castmember to appear on the new Melrose. Laura Leighton, Thomas Calabro, Josie Bissett and Daphne Zuniga will all guest star on the show, premiering next month.
Heather Locklear prized herself right out of a role on The CW’s revival of Melrose Place.
Despite recent whispers that the 47-year-old actress turned down an opportunity to reprise her role as sinister vixen Amanda Woodward on the original ’90s soap due to scheduling conflicts, National Enquirer informants claim any potential deal went dead after Heather a salary of $100,000 episode.
