Actress Heather Locklear was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Saturday. The California Highway Patrol received a 911 call from a bystander around 4:30 PM, saying she observed a woman acting strangely and driving erratically as she left a parking lot in Montecito, California, outside Santa Barbara.
Heather, 47, was taken to the police station, where she was tested for alcohol and drugs. She was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication but was later released from custody.
Heather Locklear has checked herself into an Arizona treatment center to seek counseling for anxiety and depression.
“Heather has been dealing with anxiety and depression. She requested an in-depth evaluation of her medication and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and treatment. This is a confidential medical matter and no further statement will be released,” a rep for the former Melrose Place actress told People Magazine on Tuesday.
