Hayden Panettiere is the latest celebrity lining up to kick her Sunday shoes in an upcoming remake of Footloose.
According to E!, the Heroes hottie recently auditioned for role in Paramount’s revival of the 1984 smash. Hayden isn’t the only small screen star who may join the cast. Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford is the reported favorite for the role of Ren MCormack, originally played by Kevin Bacon.
The home of actress Hayden Panettiere was burglarized last week, TMZ has confirmed. According to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department, approximately $15,000 worth of jewelry was reported missing from Hayden’s L.A. home on April 15.
The actress, who plays cheerleader Claire Bennett on the NBC sci-fi series Heroes, discovered the robbery when she returned home from a five-day vacation.
There were no signs of forced entry and no arrests have been made.
(Sounds like an inside job.)

Dooney & Bourke spokesmodel Hayden Panettiere has teamed up with label designers to create a new bag for the Spring 2009 collection. The Hayden Clutch, named after the actress itself, is made from Italian calfskin and comes with a 24-carat gold plated lion head, inspired by the Heroes star’s zodiac sign, the Leo.
Hayden also lent her design talents to the Hayden Bag for the Fall 2008 collection.
The Hayden Clutch, which bagistas can snag for $295, will arrive at Dooney & Bourke stores nationwide next month.
