Hayden Christensen Suing USA Network For Allegedly Lifting “Royal Pains”
Canadian-born actor Hayden Christensen is suing USA Network, claiming its show Royal Pains is based on an idea he pitched.
In a lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court last week, Christensen — who appeared in box office hits like Star Wars and Shattered Glass — claims that the basic cable comedy-drama, now in its second season, borrows heavily from Housecall, a show he pitched with NBC in 2005.
Royal Pains is about a freelance doctor who treats the medical problems of the rich and famous.

Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson are reportedly “taking a break” from their relationship.
The couple, who have been engaged since Feb. 2009, have decided to spend a month apart to rethink their romance. Bilson, 28, seemed to confirm the reports Wednesday night at the Take No Prisoners Event. When asked about wedding plans, Bilson pointed to her ringless finger and told Us Magazine: “No, No plans.”

Actress Rachel Bilson and her longtime boyfriend, Hayden Christensen, are engaged, PEOPLE Magazine has learned.
According to a friend of the actress, Rachel and Hayden got engaged over the 2008 holiday season and are planning to wed later this year.
“They’re so excited. They’re a great couple. Rachel seems thrilled beyond belief.”
