On Tuesday, Emma Watson, the 19-year-old star of the upcoming sixth Harry Potter film, spoke with The Early Show’s Harry Smith about surprises fans can expect in the new film and heading stateside for her freshman year of college.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson couldn’t be happier about the newfound success of former Hogwarts student Robert Pattinson.
Pattinson — who has become a heartthrob following the success of his starring role as vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight film franchise — played Cedric Diggory alongside Emma in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
“[Pattinson] is a super nice guy,” the 19-year-old actress told Entertainment Tonight at the weekend premiere of Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince in New York City. “I’m really happy for him that he’s gone on to be so uber successful. It’s really good.”
Emma says of her former co-star’s superstar-level fame, “I hope he’s doing okay. It’s gotta be tough.”
Emma Watson was up first and Thursday night was Daniel Radcliffe’s turn on the Letterman hot seart.
The 20-year-old actor appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman last night, where he chatted about his Broadway debut in Equus, living on his on for the first time, and the sixth Harry Potter film, Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, in theaters July 15.
Emma Watson made a quick plug for the July 15 opening of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on NBC’s TODAY this morning. Unfortunately, the crew at TODAY came up a little empty after they tried nudging the 19-year-old fashionista to reveal which American university she’ll be attending this fall.
Emma is reportedly registered to begin classes as a freshman at New York’s Columbia University next month.
