The 20-year-old star — best remembered as Miley Stewart’s on-again/off-again boyfriend Jack Ryan on Disney’s Hannah Montana – has signed on to appear in the war-themed musical Over Here!, opening on New York’s famous theater district next year.

“Cody is very excited about going to Broadway,” says a rep for the star.

The Hannah Montana star recently left the popular microblogging site and later wrote a rap explaining her reasons for doing so. However, Miley believes the service is “unhealthy” because it prevents people from experiencing life.

“I think that everyone should leave Twitter,” the Tween Queen said during an interview with Chicago radio station B96. “I think Twitter should just be banned from this universe.”

“All I did was lay in bed on my computer and sit there and eat ice cream late at night,” she explained. “You don’t end up living your life and you end up saying things that really is no-one else’s business. And I’m not a big fan of the internet anymore. I don’t really go online.”

A crazed fan recently threatened to kill her pet cat unless Miley returns to Twitter by Nov. 6.

In a recent interview with Reelz Channel’s Hollywood Dailies, Cody, who plays Miley’s on-again/off-again BF on the show, said that Miley — who recently waged war against a paralyzing bout of strep throat — told him she had cancelled dates on her tour due to coming down with the swine flu.

“I spoke with her the day that she canceled the tour. She said she felt really bad, she didn’t understand what was happening, but she just got really sick and had to run off stage because things were just like on her heart, too heavy,” he said during the interview. “Then the next day she told me she had the swine flu.”

Not true, says Miley, who told entertainment journalist that she does not have the dreaded flu in an interview on Friday.

“…Freaking Cody Linley was on the carpet last night and I think that he just like said stuff, so no,” Miley explained. “I had like really really bad strep, and I was really really sick, but no….I’m gonna give him a talking to!” she joked.

Star Magazine snitches say Cody, the star of Disney’s Hannah Montana (as child star Jake Ryan), made quite the horse’s behind out of himself during a night of clubbing and heavy drinking during an Aug. 28 birthday party for a pal at Orlando hotspot Tabu. Star spy Shannon Byerly, who ran across Miley Cyrus’ TV beau at the party, says the “drunk as a skunk” Cody was acting every bit the college frat boy by sloppily “letting girls write all over his bare chest and even trying to pull down the shirt of a female clubgoer.”

The underage Cody allegedly showed up at the club blitzed and at one point, followed a strange woman outside, where he began making out with her in front of a group of a her friends.

“I looked over and saw this handsome guy at the bar exposing his graffittied chest and being really loud and thought, ‘I know this guy,’” Shannon spills in the Oct. 12 issue of Star. “Then someone told me he’s on Hannah Montana with Miley Cyrus. Seeing him so dishelved was weird,” she adds. “It was even weirder to see him stick his tongue down some girl’s throat. He was totally out of it and didn’t mind that the whole room was staring at him.”

Hannah Montana is coming to an end.

The Disney Channel series that catapulted 16-year-old Miley Cyrus to teen superstardom will wrap up its fourth and final season run next year, according to Miley’s dad and co-star, Billy Ray Cyrus.

Billy Ray revealed the news in an interview with The Billy Bush Show on Friday.

Billy Ray says the cast will film the final 11 half-hour long episodes and a one-hour long series finale, all expected to air in 2010.

“Quite frankly, I give a lot of credit to Miley for taking it to another year,” Billy Ray explained. “She didn’t want it to just end with whatever was the last episode we did. She wanted it to build to where there’s a moral to the story, to where it doesn’t just end and go away and that’s it. She wanted there to be an official ending to ‘Hannah Montana.’”

“We’ll start [shooting] Season 4 sometime around the end of January,” he said. “We have to be done by the first week of June in the summer of next year.”

The Disney Channel has ordered up a fourth season of Miley Cyrus small screen sensation, Hannah Montana.

“Miley and the producers have proposed a change of setting for Season Four that will provide the catalyst for wonderful new characters and further expand the storytelling opportunities,” the network said in a statement Monday.

The popular series was made into a full-length film, Hannah Montana: The Movie, which hit theaters in April.

The “chaste” Miley Cyrus has two boyfriends, according to Britain’s Star.

The star of Disney’s Hannah Montana, 16, is reportedly growing increasingly close to rising British actor Gregg Sulkin, despite the fact that she is still in a relationship with 20-year-old underwear model Justin Gatson.

“Miley thinks Gregg is just awesome. She’s taking it one step at a time but they both would love to make a proper go of it. They are still really very young. It’s all quite sweet, really.”

Star insiders claim Miley is planning to end her seven-month romance with Justin in favor of greener pastures with Gregg.

“The thing with Justin wasn’t that serious – but with Gregg it could be for keeps.”

At 16, Gregg has been dubbed the “British Zac Efron” and is planning to move to America to further his career — and be closer to Miley.

The source added: “Gregg is really going places. He’s being talked of as Britain’s version of ‘High School Musical’ star Zac Efron -he is going to be huge. On both sides of the Atlantic there are directors and producers queuing up to have him in their TV shows and movies.”

The Hannah Montana actress — who has been dating underwear model Justin Gaston, 20, for seven months — previously dated Jonas Brothers star Nick Jonas, who is also 16.

Speaking at the UK press conference for Hannah Montana: The Movie, Miley said that she wished “for gossip sites to go away.”

“I think they’re so hard, not only on the celebrities but the kids as well [reading it],” she commented. Miley takes issue with websites that focus on celebrities’ weight, insisting they have a bad influence on young readers. “They’re starting to see people… I mean, I am normal, if I was any smaller I would be too skinny, if I was any bigger I’d be too fat. “

She added, “There’s never perfect. If they see that, or me on the red carpet and think, ‘That’s what I’m supposed to look like’. I think it all gets people mixed up. I think it’s all kind of trash.”

This week, Miley Cyrus became the youngest musician to ever amass three #1 albums on The Billboard 200.

Proving further proof that Hollywood has a new teen idol, Miley breaks a record set by Britney Spears, who was 19 when she landed her third #1 album, Britney, in 2001.
