Gwyneth Paltrow “Country Strong” Flops At Box Office

Gwyneth Paltrow enjoyed making her latest film, Country Strong, where she plays a fallen country crooner making a comeback. Movie audiences, it seems, don’t agree. The film opened in an embarrassing sixth place over the weekend, only taking in $7.3 million in its first three days of release. That’s a few million short of its $12.5 million production cost. Ouch!

Do we have our first contender for a 2012 Golden Raspberry Award?

Gwyneth really should have known better, the last movie she sang in, 2000’s Duets, was also a cinema stinker.
