Could Gwyneth Paltrow have been talking about Heathers star Winona Ryder when she wrote this blind item about a fairweather friend on her unpopular lifestyle Web site Goop Thursday?
“Back in the day, I had a ‘frenemy’ who, as it turned out, was pretty hell-bent on taking me down. This person really did what they could to hurt me. I was deeply upset, I was angry, I was all of those things you feel when you find out that someone you thought you liked was venomous and dangerous.”
A young Gwyn was once the roommate of actress Winona Ryder. The women famously fell out after Gwyn landed the lead role in the 1998 film Shakespeare in Love, a part Winona was turned down for.
