Gwen Stefani says getting back together with No Doubt after a nearly five year hiatus came with some complications. In a new interview with the July issue of Elle Magazine, the “Rich Girl” rocker admits there was some conflict when she got back together with the band.

Gwen says the band attempted to write a few new tracks before going on tour, but were unable to come up with new material. Tensions reached a boiling point when No Doubt stepped into the studio to record a cover of Adam And The Ants’ ’80s hit “Stand and Deliver;” Gwen and bass player Tony Kanal got into “a heated conversation” over the track.

“Everybody’s making it like there’s all this tension, you know, like I stepped away from the band and now they’re jealous of me, and look, maybe there is a little bit of that,” she explains.

“But some fights aren’t really what they seem,” Gwen quickly adds. “I think it was a little about the song, and a little about our coming back together. There was this little air bubble that needed to pop, you know?”

The 75-year-old host of Larry King Live was enjoying lunch at Nate n’ Ali’s Deli in Los Angeles earlier this month when he mistook No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani for pint-sized powerhouse Christina Aguilera.

Gwen had dropped by to pick up an order of four corned beef sandwiches to go when Larry — who released a new memoir last week– approached her, told her his son was a very big fan and asked for an autograph.

“Gwen happily signed her name on a napkin promising the TV talker she’d send his boy a photo in the mail,” according to the June 1 issue of The Globe. “But when she went to hand it over, Larry looked puzzled before finally admitting, ‘I thought you were Christina Aguilera.’”

The alleged five year affair began in the mid-eighties. According to the androgynous Marilyn, both parties agreed to keep their relationship a secret for how fear that exposure of Gavin’s bisexuality would impact the success of his band, Bush.

“He was just becoming successful in America,” Marilyn explains in a new interview with In Touch Weekly. “I agreed to lie against every grain of my being.”

“We were together five years,” Marilyn says. “But it felt like 40.”

Little Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale (Yes, that’s really his name) joined the family, which already includes his big brother Kingston, over the summer.

Zuma had his first picture taken during a trip to a Los Angeles library with Mommy this afternoon.

Hopefully, he’ll stay just as darling as he is now. With a name like Zuma, this poor kid is going to need all the good looks and good qualities he can get.

The No Doubt frontwoman, who lends her creative energy to the L.A.M.B. clothing line, will unveil the new uniform designs later this year.

“I wanted to design a super cute dress that I would be excited to have in my own closet and approached it in the same way I think about my clothing for a tour,” Gwen explains.

“We’ve designed a sexy and comfortable outfit for these women to wear out on their own stage every night.”

Stefani’s bun came out of the oven this afternoon. Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale welcomed Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Thursday. Zuma made his grand entrance at 12:46 p.m., weighing in at 8 1/2 lbs. He is the second baby boy for Gwen and Gavin, who already have a two-year son named Kingston.

“Kingston, Gwen and Gavin Rossdale welcomed the newest member of their family,” the family said in a statement to People.com. “Mother, baby and family are all happy and healthy.”

A heavily-pregnant Gwen Stefani has checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, In Touch Weekly reports. The 38-year-old No Doubt frontwoman is scheduled to give birth to her second child with husband Gavin Rossdale, via C-section, at 10 a.m. PT.

“Gwen’s so excited to have this baby because she gained a lot of weight during this pregnancy. She is ready to meet her new baby and get her body back.”
