The CW is developing a reality series inspired by ABC’s Emmy-winning medical drama Grey’s Anatomy.
E! has obtained a casting call sent to more than twenty hospitals across America, who may be interested in having their residence program featured as part of a new unscripted television series.
The press release reads:
“Reveille and the CW would like to document the extraordinary experience of Emergency Medicine residents at a world-class hospital.”
“Residents are at an incredible personal crossroads as they complete their medical education. Those training in the Emergency Department face exceptional professional pressures as they work on the frontlines of the medical system. We would like to present a portrait of these hard-working physicians during this incredible period in their lives.”
“Our hospital partner on this project will have the opportunity to highlight their medical facilities, their world-class training program, and their service to the community on primetime network television,” the notice reads.

Wedding bells rung on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy on Thursday, and the tears were flowing for fans who tuned in expecting to watch commitment-phobe Dr. Meredith Grey finally marry her McDreamy but were surprised by the wedding of another Grey’s couple instead.
Cancer-stricken Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl) made her way to the altar with boyfriend Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) last night and the event was a tearjerker for at least one celebrity fan watching at home.
“Just watched Grey’s & cried my fucking eyes out,” Nicole Richie wrote in a post on her Twitter page late Thursday night.
Did anyone catch last night’s emotional episode?

Wedding bells rung on Grey’s Anatomy’s second to last episode of the season, but they weren’t ringing for Derek and Meredith.
