Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester will release her long-awaited debut solo album this fall, and fans hoping to hear a taste of the star’s pipes are in luck.
On Friday, On Air With Ryan Seacrest debuted Leighton’s single “Good Girls Go Bad,” which features Cobra Starship and was co-written by American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi.

Leighton Meester, who plays Uptown Girl Blair Waldorf on the CW teen drama Gossip Girl, has landed a recording contract with Universal Republic Records. The actress is on course to release a debut album that will feature “an electro-pop edge” when it arrives in stores this Fall.
Leighton is collaborating with American Idol’s Kara DioGuardi and Britney Spears-affiliate JR Rotem on production.

Gossip Girl fans are getting their first glimpse at The CW series’ still-untitled spin-off set to premiere next fall.
On May 11, Gossip Girl will air an episode called “Valley Girls,” which will launch the new show starring Brittany Snow (American Dreams) as a young Lily Rhodes, the mother of Serena van der Woodsen growing up in mid-eighties Los Angeles.
Blake Lively may play an Uptown Girl on The CW’s cult hit Gossip Girl, but the 5-foot-10 inch blonde often feels likes she’s trapped in the body of one of those transsexual hookers that littered Times Square back in the ’90s.
“I feel like a tranny a lot of the time,” the Gossip Girl star jokes in the May issue of Allure, on newsstands April 21. “I don’t know, I’m … large? They put me in six-inch heels, and I tower over every man. I’ve got this long hair and lots of clothes and makeup on.”
