
It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas: Glee’s holiday album, Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album Vol. 2, out Nov 15, 2011, will feature a dozen ole Yuletide faves, like “Little Drummer Boy,” “Let It Snow,” and “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” Also featured on the soundtrack will be the Glee cast’s interpretation of Band Aid’s 1984 charity hit “Do They Know Its Christmas?,” which raised money to benefit famine relief in Ethiopia and sold over a million copies.
Last year, Glee’s Christmas album debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 200, selling 161,000 copies in its opening week.

Mr Shue is stepping behind the camera: Actor/singer Matthew Morrison has announced that he will be directing the eighth episode of Glee’s current third season, scheduled to air in November.
Egads — we’re still waiting for details of the plot for Morrison’s directorial debut, but here’s to hoping that jazz hands will be involved!

In a move that’s sure to bring joy to Gleeks everywhere, Broadway star Idina Menzel returns to “Glee” this season to reprise her role as Rachel Berry’s birth-mom, Shelby Corcoran.
