Gisele Bundchen would like to adopt a child from her native Brazil.

The supermodel, who married New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in a low-key ceremony last month, tells Vanity Fair that she is ready to start a family of her own.

“I would also love to adopt a child from Brazil. When you come from Sao Paulo, you see five-year-olds sniffing glue on the corner. You think, if you make a difference in the life of one of them, that makes your time on this earth worthwhile.”

Tom already has a son from his relationship with former girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.

Now that Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady have tied the knot, the Brazilian-born supermodel is staking her claim on his son with ex Bridget Moynahan.

Gisele says she loves being a stepmom.

The newlywed says she feels that John Edward Moynahan is hers, telling the May 2009 issue of Vanity Fair, “I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that. But to me, it’s not like because somebody else delivered him, that’s not my child – I feel it is, 100 percent.”
