This just in: TBS is pulling the plug on comedian George Lopez’s late-night talk show after two seasons. On Wednesday, the network abruptly announced that tomorrow’s episode of Lopez Tonight will be the show’s last….ever.

So what gives?

Conan O’Brien’s new 60-minute basic cable series Conan won’t debut until next week, but on Wednesday night, the former host of NBC’s Tonight Show tested out his new digs on TBS with an impromptu appearance on Lopez Tonight.

The George Lopez-helmed program will be permanently bumped to midnight next week to accommodate the debut of Conan.

Conan returns to late-night Monday Nov. 8 @ 11 PM on TBS.

George Lopez and his wife Ann Serrano are divorcing after 17 years of marriage, a rep for the Lopez Tonight host announced in a press release issued Monday. The news comes nearly six months after The National Enquirer blew the lid off of the alleged George Lopez Sex Scandal, which romantically-linked the self-appointed Latin King of Comedy to a bevy of high-priced call girls.

“I had sex with George Lopez for money, and so did a friend of mine,” a professional escort named “Tiffany” blabbed on the pages of The Enquirer’s May 31 issue.

The busty blonde hooker claims that she and another pro named Samantha arranged a $500 date for sex with a then very-married George during the annual Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am Charity Golf Tournament, held April 13-16, 2009.
