Megan Fox isn’t the only media bombshell stripping down to her skivves in the name of fashion. George Clooney’s other half, MTV Italy VJ Elisabetta Canalis, is the star of the new Spring/Summer 2010 Roberto Cavalli Underwear ad campaign. The campaign was shot in a private house in London in November by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the same shutterbugs who snapped Megan’s new ads for Armani.
Cavalli creative director, Eva Cavalli, picked out the eye-dropping satin set Elisabetta dons for this striking image.
“For my next underwear collection I was inspired by a real woman, with appeal, charisma and sensuality,” Roberto Cavalli said in a press statement explaining his decision to have Elisabetta front the latest campaign. “Elisabetta Canalis and I have been friends for a while now, we have already worked together in the past and so I was sure she was just perfect for enhancing the spirit of this advertising campaign… and I was not wrong! Her Mediterranean beauty and intense appeal interpret an intriguing super-feminine woman…the result is amazing!”
Looks like things are heating up between Hollywood’s eternal bachelor and his spicy Italian. George Clooney escorted girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis, an MTV host in Italy, and mom Nina Clooney to the Los Angeles Premiere of his new film, Up In The Air, on Monday night.
George Clooney’s new girlfriend has passed the friend test — at least with longtime Clooney accomplice Matt Damon!
Matt has been impressed with Italian entertainment journalist Elisabetta Canalis ever since he and wife Luciana vacationed with the new couple over the summer.
“She is a really, really wonderful woman,” Matt Damon told PEOPLE at the New York premiere of his new film The Informant on Tuesday.
“It’s nice to see my friend so happy,” Matt added.
Elisabetta Canalis has some competition for George Clooney’s affection — from a gay stripper! How’s a girl supposed to compete with that? The Oscar-nominated star got an eyeful from one male admirer while fielding questions during a televised press conference for his new movie, The Men Who Stare at Goats, at the Venice Film Festival on Tuesday.
“I am gay, George, and I think I am in love with you…Please take me,” the crazed fan pleaded, all while stripping down to his underwear in plain view of everyone in the room. “May I kiss you, please. Just one kiss?”
George was tickled pink by the close encounter. “It’s hard when you take a big chance and it doesn’t really work,” he replied with a chuckle. “It’s always embarrassing when you take one real big swing for the fences and it just falls flat,” he added. “It was a good try, though.”
